This is it. After almost six years of adventure, months of rebuilding and a project we honestly never thought we would take on, « Across The Time II – Time for Regrets: DEFINITIVE EDITION » is available today.

September 25, 2026 · Minecraft 1.21.11 (Java Edition) · 100% vanilla, no mods required

👉 DOWNLOAD THE DEFINITIVE EDITION  Also available on CurseForge and here the full patch notes for those who want every detail

A quick reminder before you dive in: the map runs on Minecraft 1.21.11 (Java Edition) in Adventure mode, the official resource pack is mandatory, plan for 4 GB of RAM minimum (6 GB recommended in multiplayer) and a render distance of 12 chunks minimum. Since this is a completely rebuilt world, old saves are not compatible: this is a brand new adventure, from the very beginning.

And if you still haven’t seen it, here is the trailer:

We already went through the full list of new features in the previous article, so we won’t do it all over again here. In two words: combat has been rebuilt from scratch, magic has grown, Sylberländ is now filled with trials, chests, races and creatures, and the whole interface has been rebuilt around the Book of Consciousness with a new menu.

What we did do, though, is count the whole map again for this version. And the numbers speak better than we do.

« ACROSS THE TIME 2 » IS NOW:

The world

  • 12,000,000 m² of hand-built terrain, across every dimension
  • 193,983 chunks generated and shaped
  • +100 hours of play for full completion, 40 for the main quest alone
  • 43 regions to explore
  • 6 living cities: Ryliath, Meleim, Eolorion, Kortaek, Phoenix and Zirthion
  • 5 difficulty levels, from Apprentice to Nightmare Hardcore

The content

  • 55,000 words of dialogue, fully voiced
  • 7,463 chests and containers scattered across the world
  • 3,102 advancements, for 23,428 Exploit points
  • 2,910 decorated pots

  • 440 checkpoints
  • 342 skill points to earn

The code

  • 777,000 lines of commands

  • 7,433 command blocks placed in the world
  • 1,958 custom 3D item models
  • 1,477 custom item textures
  • 1,247 loot tables, including 1,130 item definitions
  • 1,151 scoreboards
  • 968 custom sounds, including 613 voiced lines and 59 music tracks
  • 394 interface textures
  • 26 fonts
  • 12 playable languages
  • 6 datapacks

What we hadn’t talked about yet is the work that doesn’t show up in a trailer: balance. We have never touched it this much in six years. Attributes now modify your base stats directly, a thorough playthrough ends on 342 skill points instead of 185, which completely changes how you build your character, and just about every price, loot rate and boss reward went back on the workbench. It is the least spectacular part of the work, and by far the most important.

The map can be played in 12 languages, with French, English and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) as the reference languages, plus German, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Arabic and Hindi.
The battle track has been replaced by a reworked original piece.

In short, this is by far the largest and most complete version of the map ever released. The full patch notes run for several pages and are available here if you want to read through everything.

SPECIAL THANKS

Thank you to « Zhubi », without whom this Definitive Edition would simply not exist. Thank you to « Grenier » for the voice casting and recording direction, to « Orian34 » and « mimiriska » for the development and textures, to « Kasamiku » for the trailer music and Eolorion fight music, to « PumpKingFr » and « IImorII » for their help, to the whole Chinese, English and European translation teams, and to our testers who combed through the map in every direction for months.

And thank you to all of you. We wrote an article called « The Grand Conclusion » two years ago, sincerely believing it was over. It is your passion that brought us back, twice rather than once. This map belongs to you as much as it belongs to us.

Come tell us about your adventure on Discord, we can’t wait to see your first reactions.

Have a great time everyone, and enjoy the journey through Sylberländ.
