It is with immense pride that we announce the release of “Across The Time 2 – Time for Regrets” v4.1.0 for “Minecraft 1.20.2.” The truly final update…
Indeed, it is with a certain emotion that we write these lines because, after several years of development, overcoming challenges, and countless hours of hard work, we can finally declare our project complete and finalized.
To begin with, this update, which allows players to immerse themselves even more deeply in the story by adding an unprecedented emotional and narrative dimension, is the result of the dedication of our dear long-time fan “Grenier” and a team of around thirty actors and actresses. Originally intended as a simple mod by “Grenier”, this was not officially planned, but the colossal work done was such that I could not resist integrating it.
But that’s not all! Motivated to finish, we have also introduced a fully automatic translation of the map into several languages: Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Russian, Spanish, German, Hindi, and Portuguese. These translations, made possible thanks to advanced language models like “ChatGPT” and “Mistral,” will allow an even larger international community to discover our project. Although these translations do not replace manual work, they offer increased accessibility and reflect our desire to make “Across The Time 2” accessible to as many people as possible.
With this update, we are definitively closing the development of the map. Version 4.1.0 is the grand conclusion of this journey. All the features we had in mind at the start of this project have been implemented, refined, and optimized to offer the richest and most complete gaming experience possible on Minecraft.
You can install the update on your previous game by replacing the “datapack” folder of your map, but only for versions later than 4.0. The “resource pack,” including the voices, should also be replaced with the new version if you want to fully enjoy it. However, as a precaution, make a backup of your map before making any changes to your files.
For those who have followed this adventure from the beginning, we want to express our infinite gratitude. Your support, feedback, and enthusiasm have been our driving force throughout this epic journey. We hope that this final version will bring you as much joy in playing as we had in creating it.
